Principal's Message
Dear Students, Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to a new school year at Dan M. Isaac's Avalon High School. Our mission is to support every student on their journey to high school graduation while preparing them for a successful future - whether that means pursuing higher education, entering the workforce, or following another meaningful path.
Our dedicated team of teachers and counselors is here to guide each student in developing a personalized transition plan for life after high school. Through our instructional program, we aim to strengthen the essential literacy and numeracy skills needed for success in college, careers, and beyond. To help students make more informed decisions about their futures, we provide valuable opportunities such as field trips and live presentations. These experiences include visits from representatives of nearby occupational centers, community colleges, universities, the armed forces, and local companies offering internships that can lead to employment.
On another note, you may have heard about FAFSA - Federal Student Aid. This incredible program provides qualified high school graduates with free tuition, a computer, and books for two years to attend an occupational center, community college, or a four-year university. As your student gets closer to graduation, our counselors will reach out to schedule an enrollment appointment. We are committed to 100% participation because we believe every student deserves access to opportunities that set them up for lifelong success.
Thank you for being our partners in this journey. Let's make this school year one of growth, achievement, and bright futures!

Sincerely,
Mr. Leonard Leau
